This morning we woke up and decided to go to the Majestic Cafe for breakfast. This is a 1930’s fancy Art Nouveau cafe on what we called the “shopping street”. After breakfast we walked around town a little and decided to catch the Yellow bus like we did in Lisbon. This took us on a 2 hour tour of Porto and surrounding towns. We looped around Porto, the beaches of Nevogilde and the port houses of Vila Nova de Gaia. This gave us a good overview of the area so we could pick out places to go. Fortunately we were staying in the right place. Most of the sights were around where we were staying. The only place we didn’t get to go was the beaches but we had to save something for the next trip to Portugal. :-) Later in the day we went over to Vila Nova de Gaia and visited Quinta do Noval port house to do a tasting. It was late in the day and the port houses were closing so we all went to dinner and then home for the night.
