Off to Cambodia!

(2/17/11) Well it's time to move on. Off to Siam Reap Cambodia! Our plane took off at 11:35AM and we were in Siem Reap within 1 hour. After working our way through passport control we gathered out bags and met our driver who took us to the Raffles Hotel Grand Hotel D' Angkor. This hotel was built in the 1930's and was the place where dignitaries and the rich and famous stayed. It's still has the same opulence as it did back then. Jacki Onassis stayed here in the 60's. Our room is wonderful! we have a nice living room, King bed and a his and hers bathrooms. Yes I said "bathrooms" it has 2 separate bathrooms one with a shower and the other with a tub. It has a large porch with a small walk way to the pool. The porch has a couch and a table with 2 chairs. The service is fantastic! they cater to your every whim. Today has been a nice relaxing day. In the lobby they had Traditional Cambodian dancers and after that we went to dinner. We had a 7 course meal with a matched wine for every meal. It was incredible. They let me in the wine cellar to check out their wines. They had some incredible wines in there. After dinner we relaxed for the rest of the night and went to bed. Tomorrow will start early with a sunrise at Angkor Wat.
