Shopping - Walking - Eating

(2/14/11) Today was our first full day in Bangkok. We started out with a nice breakfast of banana bread and fruit with a mimossa chaser. We ventured out on the streets of Bangkok, cars everywhere and street vendors abound. We walked by the Central Mall where the Red Shirts burned a portion of it down. Parts of it are open now but a big portion is being rebuilt. Next we went to the Siam Paragon where we found everything under the sun! this place even has car dealerships inside the mall! Would you care for a Lotus, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche, Audi, or BMW? We then had lunch there sampling some of the local cuisine. On the way back to Russ and Judy's we stopped by a Massage parlor and had a 90 min full body massage. Wow! this was so relaxing. We made it back to the condo refreshed ourselves and headed back out for a tour of DST and dinner at a Thai Fusion restaurant. The food was fantastic! After Dinner we ventured over to the Soi Cowboy. It's a small street with a bunch of bars with a western flare. The one interesting thing about this place it it had hundreds of girls in scant outfits enticing men in for drinks an maybe a little of you know what. Don't worry I did not partake. We just had a beer, walked through one of the bars and went back to the condo. It was very interesting to say the least.
